Heavy rain, as promised, gives way to sunny spells ... work programme is cleaning the house, where it is dry ... then preparing lunch for Ros and Jasmine returning from the art class, which Ros has been teaching, with Jasmine translating ... and enough for Siena when she comes home from school ... in between, a wander to the sea ... the house is a 20 minute walk away ... Salema is a bustling holiday resort, though not in December ... two German walkers are looking for beds, after camping out in the rain last night ... Salema not the cheapest place, Raposeira advised ... Good Feelings Hostel just an hour or two away .... a coffee and cake in a pasteleria, where the owner is making pretty sweets from figs pressed flat and almonds pressed round as petals ...
Local ladies arrive for meditation and yoga ...after collecting Siena, I settle down for some study of the Rudolf Steiner related books ... a fascinating topic and the perfect place to explore it ... the garden a potential project and biodynamic methods ideal ... though maybe not practical given the time scale (uknown) and the expertise available (limited, unless a parent or teacher from the school can be recruited) ...
