Arrifana. ...

This Vincentina Way has lots of options ... after filling a gap from Carrapeteira to Bordeira, previously walked pre-dawn on the hard shoulder, on Tuesday, today's route was the Fisherman's Walk circular along the cliffs after Arrifana and back to Aljezur ... long enough at a notional 30, curtailed with a lift for the last 5 km with Hans, German retired antiques dealer, living here in winter, renting his house in summer ... Arrifana itself quite beautifully situated on the cliffs and mostly in hibernation, though the one open cafe provided good coffee and WiFi in the shade for some correspondence with mystics from England ... always helpful to keep up with information from beyond ... the clifftop section a stunning reminder of the 2015 coast walk ...

Aljezur continues to appeal ... a gentle energy ... friendly folks from various nations ... Amizagh almost a microcosm of that, with Joao the Portuguese owner, Bernardo, Portuguese manager, currently on holiday, Harry from Holland, Sebastian from Chile, Stefan from Germany, Sanna from Finland, Adrienn from Hungary running the place for bed and board ... current guests Niko and Zara from Germany, Jules from Belgium, Rajiv from Kenya, a couple just checked in and a bloke in the dorm yet to be introduced ...
