Emptiness ?

Having laid in bed until 4 a.m. determined  not to wear the brain out, especially the Left hemisphere which research and science shows has hijacked the necessary balance with the Right, which sees   the whole picture. The Left seems to believe it knows everything there is to know or one day will. Atheism crept in as organised religions of every kind refused to accept mystical insights, unless they could prove them through their kind of science. This delusion became a new religion, known as Scientism, and still prevails to this day.to hear this religious view, but what can an old pilgrim do, after examining the contents of the mind, and seeing revelations from time to time? Obviously it's perfectly possible for the revelations to be delusions, but it's strange that Scientism folks tend to be very sure of themselves, and notorious for their lack of a sense of humour, whereas in the blogging pilgrim's world it's vital not to take oneself seriously, since, as Alan Watts taught years ago, there is no self to take seriously. Of course, this points to another mystical view, which is the fundamental absence of the small self, or egoic self, leading us to The Universal Mind, which has many names, despite the ancient warnings not to try to name what can never be understood. Just to be clear about the ego, it's not that it's not necessary; it's essential for humans to interact with other humans after all. And it's well known from experience that some egos are needy and play roles demonstrating it. Others we know say little and listen carefully to what's being said, and do their best not to judge those whose egos are rather full-on. Judgement and discernment however are two sides of the same coin, and this blogging pilgrim has no wish to spend too much time with raging egos, which may be selfish, but at this advanced age perhaps patience is wearing thin!

This brings us to the title of today's blog, Emptiness, which like a similar theme yesterday,  Nothingness, might sound negative, but it's really not. It depends on your philosophical view of the world, or worlds. In Eastern traditions, and mystical Western ones too, such words pointed to a view of the Quantum world long before the microscopes found it experimentally. Many folks these days entertain the possibility of Science and Non- Duality reunited at last. Non-Duality of course merely being a negation of Oneness, whatever you like to call it. Where does Emptiness fit the story? It goes back to the theory of the Ether,  meaning the Universe, far from being empty, is full of energy vibrating, which when consciousness joins in creates the worlds we choose. This infers, of course, the bloggers delusion that we create the worlds we wish to live in, which is weird indeed. However, if it keeps an old blogger content, who's to judge him? The reality here at Wear and Dao has changed throughout the years. These days reality is peace, tranquillity, and no more Wars thank you.

This takes us to today, Tuesday, in Stanhope, and breakfast whilst reflecting on what's been written so far, not to mention the typos! It's still dark at 7 a.m. as today's blog is published by Google, ostensibly free, but in reality like all the other data aggregators, not really.

Anyway, the weather forecast is light rain this morning and not as misty as yesterday, as discovered by looking out of the door. Whatever the weather, the pilgrim blogger will be out soon, while the legs are still working.

Happy Emptiness Tuesday dear reader, and thank you for reading today!
