Alnwick Gardens is a beautiful place created by the Duchess of Northumberland, who seems to have taken Versailles as the inspiration for the amazing cascade in Alnwick Gardens. Your old blogger and his partner visited there today with the old blogger's two daughters. .. The elder lives in Duns in the Borders of Scotland and the younger lives in Newcastle so it was decided that Alnwick was around halfway ... The blogger and his partner collected the younger daughter then drove up to Alnwick for lunch and a wander around the grounds. We were lucky with the weather after over night rain ... The rain had cleared and the sun made an appearance meaning a warm dry day.
Tomorrow it's off early to Bournemouth for two days and nights at the Royal Bath Hotel then maybe Devon and Cornwall and The Eden Project. Let's see shall we!
