Good morning dear readers of Wear and Dao, the blog now going on for many years since the decision to put your blogger's life in a rucksack in 2014. Over the years the editor, a County Durham friend found in Barnard Castle, when we shared political views and strong opinions about Durham County Council and how corrupt they could often be, has stayed with the writer of the blog you're now reading through thick and thin even when the blog became rather ... thin!
Yesterday dear readers the weather was fine for the visit to Cragside with the partner's two grandsons where we had fun in the sun, enjoying the day out at Cragside again.
Today there's nothing much to do except wait for the rain to stop and write the blog you're reading now until lunchtime.
