Forecasts

After yesterday's  rain, today was forecast cloudy, though brief early excursion to boulangerie for coffee and radical departure from usual pain au raisin in favour of brioche rhum et raisin reveals absence of clouds and subsequent trip to market suggests full Sun for a while ... indeed arms and legs request airing and sunning ... all the way to Fuseta ...

At Green Spirit Jennifer reveals plan to walk to Santiago from Viseu someday, though baby Mario and January holiday are constraints ... one day!

Vegetarian lunch with red wine and complimentary medronho, digestive she says, rewards morning exercise ... body grateful, though Buddhist precepts prohibit alcohol ... never mind, best not to identify too closely with prescribed forms, though as philosophies go, Buddhism appeals most maybe .... Peter interested too and now in possession of Ayya Khema book ....

Day one of recent Camino was undertaken without any reference to weather forecasts, indeed raingear was belatedly donned at door after noting conditions ... which were wet all the way ... still it was a challenge accepted and overcome ... the point being that weather forecasts, like news in general,  seem designed to instil fear and unnecessary caution  ...

Clouds at sunset help create some very interesting effects in the sky ... reflected in the water of the River Gilao ...
