Hiatus and equanimity

Today's task is to await news from dentist on progress from lab ... which takes awhile and ends in news that work is not ready and trip to Olhao tomorrow best option to be completed by Tuesday ... meanwhile  Being Nobody Going Nowhere by Ayya Khema turns up at charity shop to reinforce teachings on patience, equanimity and so on ... and since a sunny 20 degrees in Tavira is helpful when Weardale has turned wintry, equanimity is hardly a challenge ...

At the hostel, Peter from Torquay, originally from Liverpool, who spent many years making fish and chips in Cornwall before retiring to Portugal, tells his story ... David from Exeter who worked for British Gas in Killingworth up Newcastle way before retiring tells his ... what with the Canadian couple it makes for an English speaking supper, with Oliver from Austria keeping up, Osvaldo smiling and needing some translation ...

Urge to fill next few days with trips diminishes and new book from charity shop adds to small library awaiting a reader ... warmth of Joana and Diana encourages staying put and latest room shift finds the best so far ... reserved for two nights at least...
