Pontevedra to Padron ...

Later start, waiting to see if radiator was coming on to dry some clothes ... getting critical when it rains all day and there's nowhere to dry stuff ... still, the room was warm enough and the neighbours not too noisy ... Plan A was to call in to Catro Canos just before Caldas, and try to get a service wash and dry whilst eating an early lunch ... day started dry and good breakfast nearby made up for skipped supper, then an hour before some rain ... another hour before first coffee and three Portuguese policemen walking from Porto ... another couple of hours to discover Catro Canos closed and on through Caldas with Plan B in mind ... laundromat in Padron, next to Hotel Rivera, from the Spring walk ... before which, a menu del dia along the way: first course tortilla, since Caldos Gallego has meat stock; second course huevos con patatas fritas y ensalada ... observant readers may notice both courses involving eggs and potatoes combined in different ways ... home made red wine counts as fruit and home made oruja, offered with the compliments of the maker, means a slower second stage through the woods ... without rain ...

In to a comfortable room by 5.30, a decent 40 km , leaving a gentle 25 for the morning ... clothes washed and dry, rain returns later,  but no need to go out ... bed, laundry, bar and restaurant all in one place ...
